JUST IN FROM NEW YORK

Today we had plans for brunch at Aphrodite's. I've mentioned their chocolate beet cake before and their breakfasts are not to be missed. It would be worth showing up just for their unbuttered toast.

What Emma didn't know was that her friend Shawn MacKinnon had come into Vancouver from New York, just for the day. He showed up at brunch wearing a clown costume and walked by our table and into the next room. Here's what Emma had to say:

"Wait a minute. Did Shawn MacKinnon just walk by? Did that just happen?"

That's right, he arrived at 2am this morning and will be leaving tomorrow afternoon.
