286
The olive display at Birkeland Bros came down today so I can officially tell you that there were 286 olives in total. After packing everything up, Trish and I went to Liberty Bakery where we had a slice of cinnamon custard cake and started sorting through the entries for our 'guess the number of olives' contest. We had 75 entries and our winner was only off by 4. Congratulations Robin Becker! You have won a small jar of olives! The next question will be what to do with the left overs...
EL DOMINGO DE ESPANOL
The most recent Spanish Sunday was a gorgeous day! Devon and I had brunch at Cafe deux Soleil (or it might have been Cafe du Soleil - I wasn't paying that much attention). And for once we did actually do some Spanish homework in addition to our limited attempts at speaking Spanish with each other. After about an hour of that we started out for the now traditional super long walk. While we were out we stopped in on 4 open houses and Devon may now be receiving emails with real estate options for us. Ha!
Then we walked around Trout Lake and ended up at House of Dosas for dinner, followed by a walk down to Rhizome for a cookie where we discovered they have a monthly event of Disco, Baby! We might try to borrow Eli for the next one. How much fun is it to have a bunch of kids dancing around to disco music? If we find out I'll let you know.
COWBOY QUILT
I did actually manage to start and finish this quilt last Saturday. Not bad! Now, what's next? I'm trying not to buy any new fabric which means seriously looking at what I've got on hand. Shouldn't be too bad but it is still hard to resist getting a little something new.
