The quilt that was started forever ago is finished! I had originally hoped to finish it within 20 years and then revised it to before the end of 2007 and managed to do it one month into 2008. Part way through the actual quilting part my sewing machine died but thankfully Trish happened to have an extra sewing machine (found on the street for free) that was relatively portable - just incredibly heavy. I brought it home and it worked like a charm. This one is for me and is now available on the back of my couch!

Finally. Here are some photos of the actual window display at Birkeland Bros. I happened to be walking by the store last night on my way to Spanish class and it wasn't pouring rain. In fact, it ended up being cold enough to snow and today we don't have to go to work! Snow Day! Perhaps there will be some pictures later of just how much snow it takes to shut things down around here (not much, as it turns out). But we're pretty excited about it.
